RPI grads David Banks (STS), Britney Summit-Gil (CM), and Dan Lyles (STS), along with STS faculty member Ron Eglash, were the guest editors for a special issue of the interdisciplinary journal Psychnology. The issue contains articles presented at the Technoscience as Activism conference at RPI last summer, sponsored by the NSF-funded “triple helix” program (www.3helix.rpi.edu). Michael Mascarenhas, Associate Professor of STS and author of Where the Waters Divide, was interviewed Saturday April 20th on Latin Waves, an internationally syndicated NPR show hosted by Sylvia Richardson. Latin Waves is a weekly radio program about community that has featured such public intellectuals as Noam Chomsky, Derrick Jensen, Vandana Shiva, Silvia Federici and others who are working to create a society based on justice (racial, gender, ecological and cultural) and principles of fairness and equity.A Podcast of the interview is available here
