STS Panel Discussion Offers "Perspectives on the US Presidential Election"

The department of Science and Technology Studies (STS) will host a panel discussion, "Perspectives on the US Presidential Election: Gender, Ideology, and the Future of American Democracy," on Wednesday evening, Oct. 26, from 7:00–9:00 pm in the CBIS Auditorium.  

The discussion will be moderated by Professor Langdon Winner, Thomas Phelan Endowed Chair in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Technology Studies, and will include a student representative along with faculty of the departments of Communication and Media (C&M) and STS.  The panel presentations are as follows:

American Idol: Reality TV and Candidate Donald Trump, Professor June Deery, C&M

The Spectacle of Gender: Trump, the Christian Right and the Alt-Right, Professor Tamar Gordon, C&M

Millennial Woes, Election Lows, Emmett Rogers, Class of 2018 and RPI Debate Club President
