The Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS) and the Design, Innovation and Society (DIS) program invites everyone to their Fall 2017 Undergraduate Research Symposium, an open event featuring student work in STS, sustainability studies, gender studies, and design. The symposium will be held this Friday, December 15, from 12 noon–4:00 pm, in the Darrin Communication Center (DCC) Great Hall and DCC room 330.
Students will share posters, presentations, and prototypes that examine topics including food justice, life extension, drug users, Mars colonization, social media, sports and politics, alternative economies, water systems, board games, and memes. Featuring work from Science, Technology, and Society, Gender in History, Environment and Politics, STS Research Design, Design as a Global Challenge, and PDI Senior Project.
